15 March 18:30 - 20:30
Join us at the Aberdeen Science Centre to learn about the progress of the recovery of the areas of Japan hit by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster.
Dr Alan Spence of Glasgow University will discuss measuring radiation levels in Fukushima’s towns, orchards and forests, and Dr Leslie Mabon of Robert Gordon University will talk about how local identity has evolved in Fukushima’s coastal communities since the disaster.
This event is free and will be followed by a reception.
