Reading for pleasure has been found to have many health benefits, with some research claiming that reading something you enjoy for just 6 minutes can reduce stress levels by up to two thirds. Join us and put it to the test from World Book Night (23rd April) until the end of May in reading for at least 6 minutes a day.
Don’t be fooled into thinking this challenge is just about reading books. You can read whatever you like: newspapers, magazines and graphic novels all count. What is important is to make sure you enjoy what you are reading.
Throughout the challenge we will be posting suggestions and tips on this page. We’re also inviting you to comment and post your own suggestions and experiences of the challenge on here and on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #ACL6mins.
